The ultimate expedition for deep sea sport fishing in Río Lagartos. A professional day designed for experienced anglers seeking the big trophies of the Gulf of Mexico: expert captain, boat equipped for offshore fishing, and techniques such as trolling, spinning, fly fishing, jigging, hand fishing, and bait fishing.
The Professional Sport Fishing Tour is the most challenging outing we offer in Río Lagartos. A day of open sea designed for anglers seeking the big trophies of the Gulf of Mexico and enjoying technical, long, and demanding fishing.
We will leave at dawn from the Malecón of Río Lagartos, sailing towards the fishing grounds where grouper, snappers, barracudas, mackerel, jacks, mullets, sawfish, dorados, and coronados inhabit. On board, an experienced captain and a guide/handler will accompany you throughout the day, applying techniques such as trolling, spinning, fly fishing, jigging, hand fishing, and bait according to the species and the area.
Due to its duration and technical level, we recommend this experience to fishermen with previous experience in deep-sea fishing.

Trolling fishing in motion. We drag lures or baits behind the boat to provoke the attack of fast species.
Casts with light or medium lures to look for surface activity, shorelines, and current changes.
Fly fishing to present precise patterns when the tide, water clarity, and species allow.
Vertical fishing with heavy lures. We take advantage of depth changes to entice predators with rhythmic jig movements.
Direct work with line, plumb bob, and bait in areas where the captain seeks control and sensitivity in the bite.
Use of natural or prepared bait to adapt to depth, current, and behavior of the species of the day.
No surprises: equipment, permits, and onboard service included in the fare.
