Photography tour
Private and flexible expedition in the best light —dawn or dusk— with a guide who knows where and when.
Discover
Private nature experiences within the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve, guided by local experts.
Between the Gulf of Mexico and the low jungle of Yucatán, the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve protects 60,347 hectares of mangroves, hypersaline coastal lagoons, petenes, and dunes. It was the first wetland in Mexico registered on the Ramsar list (Site 332, in 1986) and has been part of the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves since 2004.
Here nests the Caribbean pink flamingo and more than 330 species of birds and 554 vertebrates coexist. Each outing is a careful reading of the territory: the tide, the light, and the season determine what the estuary reveals.
