A fun and relaxing day in the calm waters of the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve. The goal is simple: spend time with family, learn the basics of fishing, and feel the thrill of the first bite.

We use simple and effective techniques —like light trolling or live bait— to catch local species: snapper, snook, grouper, drum, jack, barracuda, or tarpon. With a little luck, you might take home your own lunch! 🐟

The Fishing Experience Tour has a total cost of $3,600 pesos. As support for the ecological reserve, a federal fee of $125 pesos per person is charged for the preservation and care of this magnificent natural area. The reservation is made with $500 pesos of the tour cost and the rest is paid at the beginning or end of the tour.

How much does the Fishing Experience Tour cost?

The tour has a total cost of $3,600 MXN. Additionally, a federal fee of $125 MXN per person is charged for the preservation and care of the Río Lagartos Biosphere Reserve.

How do you make the reservation?

The reservation is made with $500 MXN of the tour cost, via Mercado Pago, Stripe, or WhatsApp. The rest is paid at the beginning or at the end of the tour, in cash or by card.

How long does the tour last and what time does it leave?

The tour lasts approximately 6 hours. We leave from the Malecón de Río Lagartos at 6:00 AM to take advantage of the best fishing hours at dawn.

What species can be fished?

Local species such as snapper, snook, grouper, corvina, jack, barracuda, and tarpon. The target species depends on the tide, the season, and the day's conditions. You can take the table species with you; the tarpon is released carefully.

Do I need prior experience?

No. It is 100% suitable for children and adults with no experience: Jorge and Carlos teach you the technique from scratch, without pressure and with all the patience. If you already know how to fish, you will also enjoy it.

How many people are we going on the boat?

Maximum 4 people per group. Small groups allow for a personalized experience and greater safety.

What happens if it rains or there is bad weather?

Let's reschedule at no cost to the next available date. Safety and water conditions are always a priority.
