Flyfishing Tour

What is the Flyfishing Tour?

The Flyfishing Tour is a sport fishing expedition in the shallow waters and mangroves of the Ría Lagartos Biosphere Reserve, a world-renowned destination for catching the “Silver King.” This experience takes you on a specialized boat (panga) to secret feeding grounds for tarpon and snook. It’s a day of patience, skill, and adrenaline—spotting the fish and casting the fly at just the right moment. You’ll live the thrill of sport fishing in a stunning natural environment, surrounded by the wildlife of the reserve.

You’ll be accompanied by certified local guides specialized in fly fishing. They not only know the tides and the best fishing spots, but will also assist you with technique and strategy to improve your chances of a successful catch. Their expertise is key to finding fish in this vast maze of mangroves. This tour focuses on catch and release to help conserve the species.

Note: This tour is ideal for sport fishers—whether you’re a beginner eager to learn or an experienced angler chasing a Ría Lagartos tarpon trophy. It requires patience and a passion for the challenge.
