This tour is designed for those seeking a more intimate and unhurried connection with the biosphere. Unlike a standard tour, the Naturelovers Tour offers you more navigation and observation time (5 hours), allowing us to enter less-traveled channels and turn off the engine to listen to and admire wildlife in silence. It is the ultimate ecotourism experience in Ría Lagartos.
You’ll be able to focus on nature photography, identify a greater variety of birds (resident and migratory), and gain a deep understanding of the mangrove ecosystem. Although we also visit the flamingo and crocodile areas, the pace is calmer, prioritizing detailed observation. Optionally, and if time allows, we can include a stop for the traditional clay “Mayan bath.”
Note: This tour is for all ages, but is especially recommended for photographers, birdwatchers, and anyone who prefers a nature experience without rush and with a deep educational focus.
• Equipped boat: motorboat with all required safety equipment.
• Certified local guide: specialized in nature, birds, and ecotourism (languages: Spanish, English, Italian, and Maya).
• In-depth environmental interpretation: detailed explanations about the ecosystem.
• Bird guide: expert assistance for observation and identification.
• Extended observation time: more stops and slow navigation for photography and wildlife watching.
• Tour duration: ~5 hours (approximately).
• Recommended start times: We suggest starting early in the morning (e.g., 7:00 AM) to take advantage of peak wildlife activity and the best light conditions for photography.
